Fire departments from the City of Edinburg, Texas, responded to an explosion Wednesday afternoon in the Eco-Wreck Metal Processing Facility on Montecristo Road. A car exploded because gasoline was left in the tank. Six fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. Thankfully, no one was injured. Chief Shawn Snyder said this is the second explosion in as many weeks. Regardless of the cause, all explosions must be reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
