Houston IAH is the largest public airport system in the United States. It also serves as an international transit and gateway for cargo, airlines, and passengers. There are several airport shuttles for travelers to get around the airport. One recommended service is SuperShuttle. They offer non-stop transportation from the airport to other destinations.
For passengers who are traveling on a tight schedule, there are several restaurants and cafeterias where they can relax and enjoy meals. You can also visit the United Club lounge to get beverages and newspapers. In addition, there are ATMs at the Main Lobby and in the security checkpoints on Level 2.
Passenger pick-up services and ground transportation are available on Level 1. In addition, courtesy telephones are available at the baggage claim areas. These can be used for hotel pick-ups and for taxi rides.
Security checkpoints are monitored by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This is to ensure that only those who have tickets for a flight can pass through. After passing through the checkpoints, you can access the airport's Terminals A, B, C, and E. Each terminal is connected to the others by walkways.
Terminal D is located in the eastern part of the Houston Airport. The terminal has gates numbered D1-D12. Additionally, the terminal has an additional Mezzanine Level. Some of the United Express international arrivals depart from Terminal D. The terminal is connected to the Houston Airport Hotel. If you are looking for parking, there are several garages and lots available. Several oversized parking spots are also available.
The North hall of the terminal is home to the Skyway, which leads to terminals of B, C, D, and E. Those who are traveling on a domestic flight may choose to take advantage of the TSA expedited pre-screening program.
In addition, there are several dining options at the Houston Airport. From Italian to Asian cuisines, you'll find many choices. The airport is also served by Comair, Gulf Air, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines.
As you travel from Terminal C to the airport's main entrance, you will encounter an escalator and an elevator. You will also pass through a ticketing area. Additional options include restaurants, shops, and rental cars.
Finally, you will have the option to take a subway to get to the Marriott Hotel. There are stations on each level, which run every three minutes. To reach the hotel, you can go to the Subway station at the Hotel Marriot.
In addition to the above-mentioned options, you can take advantage of the onsite SuperShuttle shuttles. They are available for all airport terminals, and you can book tickets in advance. Also, there are shared ride shuttles for those who do not have a SuperShuttle reservation.
