This year, Tristan and Lindsay White are opening a new location for Houston's Hot Chicken in Tempe, Arizona. The restaurant will feature family-friendly decor and a tribute to local sports teams.

Customers can choose from seven different spice levels, including a "Houston We Have a Problem" level that is twice as spicy as a single ghost pepper. Another popular location for hot chicken is Mico's Hot Chicken. It's been a Houston staple for over a decade, and it has grown from a food truck to a brick-and-mortar store. Now it has a patio, and customers can sit down while enjoying a meal. Those looking for a more low-key experience can try the chicken on waffles.
Then there's Bad Chx, a third- Ward food truck that offers spicy hot chicken. You can order a sub or a taco, and they even have a pepper thermometer to measure the spice level.
If you're in the mood for something spicy, you can check out the Underground Hall's Bird Haus. Their chicken is marinated in a cayenne butter glaze that will make your mouth water. Additionally, the restaurant offers a sandwich that features melted cheddar.
Other Houston hot chicken locations include Rosalyn's, which is the oldest hot chicken restaurant in the city. It's been a pop-up in the past but has recently opened a permanent location in the Third Ward.
