The Houston Farmers Market is the city's oldest farmer's market and it's also the largest. With 18 acres of space, the market offers the freshest produce in the city. There are over 100 vendors at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, which was established in 2004. Half of its vendors are farmers. For instance, the market's cheese comes from Blue Heron Farm, and the tortillas from Tatemo. Additionally, the market's meats and seafood come from Katerra Exotics. As the market has been updated, it continues to offer an array of delicious foods. It's especially popular with local Houstonians, who appreciate the opportunity to buy fresh produce in a welcoming environment.
