Houston Methodist is a quaternary care hospital based in the heart of Texas Medical Center. It is also home to the city's most comprehensive organ transplant program. With an annual budget of $1.2 billion, the hospital is a major player in the local and state medical communities. Aside from providing quality care to the city's growing population, it's also the official health provider for the Houston Astros and a number of other professional sports teams.

As an organization, it is not immune to the occasional downturn in the economy.
